Information Sessions for SU19 and FA19


Do you need to complete KIN 471 Practicum or KIN 481 Internship during the Summer 2019 semester or Fall 2019 semester? You must attend a mandatory information session. Only those students who attend the information session will be allowed to complete fieldwork during the Summer and/or Fall semester. Meeting times are:

Friday, February 22, Godwin Room 341, 12:20pm-1:10pm
Monday, February 25, Godwin Room 341, 2:30pm-3:30pm
Tuesday, February 26, Godwin Room 337, 3:15pm-4:00pm
Tuesday, February 26, Godwin Room 337, 4:15pm-5:00pm

Next, prepare the following documents to bring to your information session:

1.    Current resume
2.    Your five and ten year professional goals
3.    A list of 3-5 potential sites for your practicum or internship
4.    The semester you are planning on completing your fieldwork
5.    Application for Fieldwork**

After your site has been secured, you will submit the following form to Jana:

Finally, the deadline to submit your Agency Acceptance Form to complete Summer 2019 AND/OR Fall 2019 fieldwork is Thursday, April 25. This is the last day of classes this semester. Start this process soon! Many sites fill their opportunities 6-8 weeks before the deadline.

Duke University Internship - Center for Living

We are currently accepting applications from upper-level undergraduate and graduate students for our Duke University Integrated Health Sciences Internship Program in the laboratory of William E. Kraus, MD. Attached is a description of our program along with the application deadlines and decision dates. Internships are offered Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters for 15-18 weeks. The application deadline for the upcoming summer semester is February 28, 2019.
 
We have an excellent, well-funded clinical research program here at Duke University Medical Center and we are dedicated to providing exceptional internship experiences for students who are interested in clinical research.
