Fitness instruction opportunity in Harrisonburg

We are looking for a substitute instructor for group personal training and/or cardio dance. A competently skilled and certified instructor who can teach 100% on their own would be paid. 
 Training/certifications/general skills....
1) Needs intermediate level knowledge of physiology, exercise technique and body mechanics.
2) Must hold or currently working towards a personal training certification from an approved company such as ACE, AFFA, ACSM, etc.
3) Must have the desire and ability to train all fitness levels at the same time and adjust exercises to the clients needs.
4) Must have the ability to multitask and stay organized in a group of 15 clients with a range of fitness levels.
5) Must have current CPR certification.
6) Must be positive, motivating and have excellent communication and customer service skills.

Youth Soccer Coaching Opportunities

Could we ask you to get the word out to your students about Coaching Opportunities with SVU Recreation this Fall.  
 
Do you have any other JMU faculty contacts that you think may be productive with respect to coach recruitment?
 
We are in need of more coaches.  We start with Coach Ed Aug 27 & 29. First Practice Sep 3. First Match Sep 7.
 
Desired Commitment:
  • Attend Coach Ed Session (1.5 hours)
  • Utilize Practice Plans provided
  • Utilize Equipment (cones, balls, pinnies) provided
  • 1 Practice per Week (9 weeks) – 1hr in length – Location/Day/Time TBD (can be based on Coach Availability)
  • 1 Match per Week (9 weeks) – 1hr in length – Sat at Smithland Fields
  • Punctuality with respect to Practice and Match events (arrive in advance of the players, and prepared to lead the group in an organized way)
  • Clear and Consistent Communication with SVU Administration and Team Parents regarding schedule conflicts, issues, etc.
