Summer Internship in Sport Management - Harrisonburg

Chris Rush, is Head Coach for an RCBL team, the New Market Shockers. It’s a local County league baseball team in New Market that plays summer baseball against others teams in the Rockingham County-Augusta County areas. There are 8 teams in the league. The league consists of college players and local talent.

This summer we are looking for an intern to run our computerized/online scoring program called Point Streak. Basically, the person would enter the baseball game statistics online live during each game. This then keeps the players statistics and that of each team up to date and accurate for the league and on the RCBL website.

There may also be times when we could utilize the intern for home game activities, between inning games with the fans etc.

Our games begin May 23rd and run 2-3 a week through July 25th. At that time playoffs begin and can run as late as mid-August.

This is an unpaid position.

For more information, contact Coach Chris directly at ccrush@harrisonburgva.gov
