Exercise Physiologist internship, Herndon, VA

I received this message:

I am a JMU Kinesiology class of 2018 alumni. I currently work as an Exercise Physiologist at the Children's Heart Institute in Herndon, VA. I know when I was at JMU you coordinated all Kinesiology internships and I wanted to let you know of an Exercise Physiologist internship available at my office. This internship can accommodate both the 90 hours and 160 hours internship requirements, as long as that is still the requirement. This internship will involve performing cardiopulmonary exercise stress tests, as well as working with our Exercise Rehabilitation program for POTS patients. I know the summer semester just began, but if this is internship is something that interests you and you think would interest internship students please have them reach out to me at my email, kharrington@chiva.us or I can also create a flyer which you can send out to students with more details.

Best,

JMU Football S/C Opportunity, available immediately

I received this message:

My name is Tyler Mayo, Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach here at JMU with the Football program. I'm reaching out on behalf of our Football Strength and Conditioning department to express our interest in hiring 1-2 interns for the Summer with the potential to stay on for the Fall semester.

If chosen, the intern(s) would report June 4th. The length of the internship would last from June 4 - August 4. Training Camp begins August 6, and if they do a good job for us they would have the option to stay on for the season.

The minimum requirements include: Current CPR/AED certification, a strong work ethic, punctuality, and a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional. If they do not currently possess a CPR/AED certification, we can assist them with completing that process.

If you have any potential candidates, I would really appreciate if you provided them with my contact information below.

Thank you so much, I hope to hear back from you soon.
