Toucan Abroad, Physical Therapy Shadowing

 My name is Phil Wykowski, and I am the Founder and Director of Toucan Abroad, a PT Shadowing Abroad Program. I was referred to you by a former James Madison University Exercise Science student who has formerly been on a program with us. We have loved hosting her and other JMU students who have taken part in our programs in the past!

Toucan Abroad provides pre-physical therapy students the opportunity to shadow licensed physical therapists in our partnered clinics to acquire 60 verified observation hours. We are currently offering 2 and 3-week programs in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and Cartago, Costa Rica, where participants observe new PT practice techniques while experiencing the rich culture and natural beauty of Latin America. We are also looking at expanding to Europe soon.

What sets us apart from other study abroad programs is that we are the only provider that offers clinical PT observation hours, and our program is suitable for any student considering physical therapy school in the future. Something similar may exist in other cities, too!
