A Graduate and Professional School Fair will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 4-7 pm in the Festival Ballroom. More than 120 graduate programs have already registered to participate including 13 medical schools, 33 additional health-professional programs, 34 law schools, and a wide range of other programs representing virtually every discipline and interest area. Representatives of institutions from across the country will be at JMU, hoping to discuss their programs with JMU students. This is an opportunity that should not be missed. Information for students is available at http://www.jmu.edu/cap/fair/grad-students.shtml.
As explained on the web site listed above, students can review the programs that will be participating through Recruit-A-Duke. Colleges will be attending from across the country, from New England to California. Participation is free for JMU students, but students will need to register in advance. (Registration instructions will be added to that web page soon.) This event is not for Seniors only! This is a great opportunity for students at all levels to learn more about potential career pathways and what will be needed to be admitted to particular types of programs. This event is co-sponsored by the JMU Graduate School and the Office of Career and Academic Planning. It is a collaborative effort of JMU, Bridgewater College, Eastern Mennonite University and Mary Baldwin College.
