Cardiac Tech Employment with Virginia Heart
* Bachelors degree in Exercise Physiology/Science or related major OR successful completion of a Cardiac Technician course * Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred. * Prior experience with the use of an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) preferred. * The Cardiac Technician must successfully pass stress test training (including the basic ECG exam) and the stress test exam to perform stress tests. * The Cardiac Technician must successfully pass the pharmacological exam to authorize prescription refills. * Strong cardiology background * Strong basic ECG interpretation * Computer Literate * Strong organizational and analytical skills * Strong interpersonal skills
