The Atlas team is looking for a kettlebell specialist to teach group exercise classes and conduct one on one training sessions. The Atlas team includes some of the best fitness coaches and trainers in the Washington, D.C. area. Our central goal is to provide detail focused customized training experiences tailored to individual clients and group training needs. We also deliver a highly energetic and motivational fitness curriculum to 6th - 8th grade students in DC middle schools supplementing PE activities during off-peak gym hours.

Kettlebell Specialist/ Group Exercise Instructor/Personal Trainer/Front Desk Associate
You will help our clients achieve their potential through fitness by leading dynamic kettlebell group exercises classes and providing customized workouts that include cardiovascular exercise, resistance training and other training resources.


Responsibilities:
    Lead Atlas group exercise classes, in particular kettlebell-centric classes
    Develop individualized workouts consistent with our clients’ personal fitness and exercise goals, ensuring correct use of equipment and form throughout exercise
    Advise clients on ways to achieve their fitness goals
    Partner with management team to help new members achieve their fitness goals with personal training & Group Exercise
    Operate and troubleshoot computer software and audio equipment
    Operate classes as written in the Atlas Playbook
    Ensure facility cleanliness and tidiness
    Operate facility management software

Job Qualifications:
    Current certification from one or more accredited organizations
    Excellent communication and customer service skills
    Experience in designing and implementing fitness regimens
    Ability to be part of a team and motivate others
    Current CPR and AED certification
    College degree in fitness related field with relevant work experience is preferred but not required
    Knowledge of safe exercise technique and group exercise principles
    Knowledge of basic physiology and body mechanics
    Positive and effective interpersonal communication skills

Job Title: Group Exercise Instructor/Personal Trainer
Full Time-Time / Part-Time: Full-time and part-time applicants will be considered.  Staff Training hours will be required.
Compensation: Hourly with opportunities for performance bonuses

Front Desk Associate
Responsibilities:
    Greet members and guests promptly, enthusiastically and with a smile to create a friendly positive entrance into the gym
    Ensure facility cleanliness and tidiness
    Provide security and control to the front door area of the facility
    Monitor check-ins to identify delinquent accounts
    Ensure that guests and appointments are directed to the appropriate employee/department in a prompt, professional manner
    Answer phone in a professional and courteous manner
    Respond immediately to member requests, inquiries and concerns
    Provide prospective clients with tour of facility and understanding of Atlas culture and services
    Operate facility management software
    Other tasks as instructed by management

Job Qualifications:
    High school diploma required
    Excellent customer service skills are required.
    Ability to communicate effectively with both staff and members is critical
    Understanding of basic accounting principles is required
    Functional computer skills are required
    Ability to multi-task is a benefit to successfully perform duties
