Do you need to complete KIN 471
Practicum or KIN 481 Internship during the Spring 2020 semester? You must attend a
mandatory information session. Only those students who attend the
information session will be allowed to complete fieldwork during SP2020. Meeting times
are:
Tues Oct 1, 3:30pm 4:30pm, Room 341
Wed Oct 2, 1:25pm-2:15pm, Room 341
Mon Oct 7, 12:20pm-1:10pm, Room 338
Wed Oct 9, 8:00am-8:50am, Room 338
Next, complete this Google form (https://forms.gle/4vVEQJoZSCf9r7eT9) prior to attending a meeting. To expedite the process of
completing the form, you should have the following files/information available to
you: current resume, your five and ten year professional goals, a list of 3-5
potential sites for your practicum or internship, and the semester you are
planning on completing your fieldwork.
After your site has been secured,
you will submit the following form to Jana: Agency
Acceptance Form (https://www.jmu.edu/kinesiology/es/practicuminternship.html).
This form is turned in as a hard copy.
Finally, the deadline to submit your Agency Acceptance Form to
complete SP2020 fieldwork
is Fri Dec 6. This is the last day of classes this semester.
Start this process soon! Many sites fill their opportunities 6-8 weeks before
the deadline.
