The U.S. Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine (USARIEM) is an internationally recognized center of
excellence with the medical research mission of optimizing Warfighter health and performance during training and
on the battlefield.
USARIEM has research fellowship and internship opportunities available via the Oak Ridge Institute for Science
and Education (ORISE) Program, which is a U.S. Department of Energy asset that recruits and prepares the next
generation of our nation’s scientific workforce by enabling people in the STEM field to conduct research in a federal
lab under the supervision and mentorship of a senior researcher.
Opportunities are available at all experience levels, including summer internships for students (18 years of age and
older), fellowships at the Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Postdoctoral levels, and fellowships for Established Scientists.
