I received this recruitment message this morning from the JMU Environmental list serve:
My name is Andrew - I'm the Recruitment Coordinator for Amir, an organization dedicated to promoting sustainability and farming by creating garden and farm programs at summer camps throughout the U.S. and Canada. I am currently looking to fill a few positions for our summer 2018 session.
We recruit college students and recent graduates for two positions: Amir Farmer and Amir Farm Manager. Upon acceptance to the program, our farmers are placed at one of our partner summer camps and they work at that camp for the summer, running a farm and an education program for the children at the camp.
Amir was founded as a Jewish organization and now proudly works with Jewish and non-Jewish camps. We are looking for both Jewish and non-Jewish applicants. I am specifically reaching out to you because have had students express interest in the past from your programs.
I've attached the job descriptions to this email. We believe students at your university are the perfect fit for our programs and want to ensure their in-classroom work is brought to the land. Please let me know if you have any questions.
You may find the link for the application HERE. Both position descriptions are linked from the application, which is Google Form.
