Position is responsible for the daily operations of the fitness exercise equipment areas, for assisting members with equipment orientations and for providing members guidance in safe and proper usage of all fitness equipment.

Performing preventive wellness assessments, organizing and implementing programs pertaining to preventive wellness as well as attending health fairs/outside events representing Augusta Health Lifetime Fitness.

• Current First Aid and CPR/AED by Health Care Provider or American Red Cross.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Science, Kinesiology, Sport Management or a Fitness Related Field required or a combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of the degree.
• One year experience working in the fitness field.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Willingness to work different shifts, weekends, and/or holidays.

Unpaid Internship Scholarship

The Career and Academic Planning Office has funds available to offer many scholarships for students completing unpaid internships.

• Internship needs to be 30-40 hours per week for at least 8 weeks (240 hours minimum)
• Unpaid internship must already be secured (employer verification form is a required part of the application)
• Minimum 2.5 overall GPA
• Student must enroll in UNST 480 or a course within their major (if one exists) for at least one hour of internship credit in order for funds to be disbursed
• Student needs to be enrolled at the university for at least one semester after completing the internship
