US Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine Internship Opportunities

The U.S. Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine (USARIEM) is an internationally recognized center of excellence with the medical research mission of optimizing Warfighter health and performance during training and on the battlefield.

USARIEM has research fellowship and internship opportunities available via the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) Program, which is a U.S. Department of Energy asset that recruits and prepares the next generation of our nation’s scientific workforce by enabling people in the STEM field to conduct research in a federal lab under the supervision and mentorship of a senior researcher.

Opportunities are available at all experience levels, including summer internships for students (18 years of age and older), fellowships at the Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Postdoctoral levels, and fellowships for Established Scientists.

Graduation and Professional School Fair

Graduate and Professional School Fair will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 3-6 pm at Hotel Madison.   This will be the largest Graduate Fair at JMU and the largest in Virginia this year.  More than 120 graduate programs will be here to speak with students about their graduate programs.  The representatives include 36 public health, healthcare and  medical schools, 21 law schools, and a wide range of other programs representing virtually every discipline and interest area. Representatives of institutions from across the country will be at JMU, hoping to discuss their programs with JMU students.  This is an opportunity that should not be missed.  The event is free.  No prior registration is required.  Information about the fair, including what students can expect and who will be attending is available at http://www.jmu.edu/gradfairs .

This event is not for Seniors only!  This is a great opportunity for students at all levels to learn more about potential career pathways and what will be needed to submit a successful application to a particular type of program.  This event is co-sponsored by the JMU Graduate School and the Office of Career and Academic Planning.  It is a collaborative effort of JMU, Bridgewater College, Eastern Mennonite University and Mary Baldwin College.
