Health Fitness Specialist Internship

DESCRIPTION:  We are currently seeking motivated undergraduate students for participation in our internship program at our fitness centers.

LOCATION: Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Washington D.C., Virginia, Texas, Florida, California, Alabama, Georgia, New Mexico, and North Carolina

WHY AQUILA:
·         Aquila is a leading fitness and wellness company with nearly 21 years of experience managing corporate fitness centers and wellness services.
·         This position will offer interns an insight into the field of corporate fitness and wellness, providing an environment of motivation, fun, and experience.  Students will apply the skills and knowledge they learned in the classroom to real life scenarios experienced in the fitness cener.

QUALIFICATIONS:
·         Currently a Junior or Senior with a concentration in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or related lower course work completed
·         Student must be able to obtain credit for the internship
·         Motivated, enthusiastic, and energetic fun personality 
      
      DUTIES: 
·         Observe fitness evaluations for new members
·         Conduct individual personal fitness programs
·         Learn high-quality customer service skills
·         Assist in the planning, promotions, and evaluation of the programs

·         Teach a group fitness class

Wediko Summer Program

Do you want a summer internship that is incredibly rewarding, immensely challenging, and paid? The Wediko Summer Program is currently hiring across a range of positions for our therapeutic summer program. Set on 450-acres in rural New Hampshire, Wediko draws students from across the country (and the world) with challenging behaviors and diagnoses.
You would have the opportunity to work hands-on with these students, forming therapeutic relationships and developing clinical programming to best serve their needs. You'll log over 750 hours of supervised clinical hours, all while enjoying the fun of a camp-like environment! Activities, swimming, academic time, and various therapeutic outlets keep our students busy and scheduled every minute of the day - and we want you to be part of it!

Rockland Peak Performance Internship - Update

I received this message from Bahram, one of the owners at Rockland Peak Performance, about internship opportunities:

I wanted to bring to your attention that our Summer program is now almost full.  We have only 1 remaining open position for the Summer.  The other 4 summer positions have been filled by students from James Madison, Montclair State, Rowan and Penn State.

We are now also accepting applications for our internship for the fall of 2017. The dates of the fall internship are September through December.  Here is a brief summary of the program:

The RPP Internship Program is a 16-week program that provides you with a comprehensive learning experience that will dramatically improve your coaching skills.  The program is designed to provide you with the opportunity to work in a dynamic and integrated model ranging from sports performance, assisting and coaching high school, collegiate and professional athletes as well as adult group and private training.

As an RPP intern, you would have the opportunity to compliment your hands-on learning experience with participation in our weekly In-Service sessions, which focuses on continuing education in a classroom-style learning environment.  These sessions cover a wide variety of topics.  We work closely with our interns to develop coaching, assessment and program-design skill sets to compliment career aspirations within the fitness industry.
