Wediko Children's Services

This organization offers a paid internship, and contacts us regularly to recruit internship students.

The Wediko Summer Program is a short term residential treatment program that serves approximately 150 children with emotional and behavioral difficulties. Each year, we hire a group of dedicated, ambitious, and talented individuals to make the program meaningful and successful for each child. We offer a unique opportunity for students in a variety of majors to teach art, athletics, theatre, mountain biking, fishing, and other water based activities. There is also an opportunity for students who are interested in teaching in the classroom and direct care positions.

I hope that you are well, and your school year is off to a great start! I know that you are very busy, especially with mid-terms approaching, but I would like to take a moment to ask you for your help. The Wediko Summer Program is in the process of recruiting and hiring graduate and undergraduate students for our paid summer internship. This past summer, students you referred helped 155 children experience hope and success. The Wediko Summer Program continues to receive its best staff referrals from professors like you. This allows us to always strive to make each summer more successful than the last. Please take a moment to forward the description of our program and contact information below to your students, or if you or a student would like to learn more about the Summer Program, or hear from a former staff member, please don’t hesitate to be in touch. Thank you, again, for your continued support throughout the years.
