Summer Practicum in Richmond
The following is a message from Caroline Beazley, JMU Class of 2010 – Kinesiology major:
Based on the number of hours available, this looks like it might be better for a student who needs to complete KIN 471 (Practicum). --Jana
I graduated from the Kinesiology program in 2010 and am now the Youth Fitness Coordinator at the Westwood Club in Richmond. I am looking for 1-2 interns to plan and teach youth fitness classes three times per week over the summer. The classes would be an hour and a half in length and include an hour long fitness portion followed by a half hour of a nutrition activity and small craft. If you know of any outstanding students interested in working with kids Kindergarden-5th, specifically, please pass along my contact information. The students do not have to be a part of the Physical Education program but should have a love for working with children.
Thank you,
Caroline Beazley
