Graduate Assistant Positions at University of Pittsburgh

GSA POSITIONS AVAILABLE IN HEALTH & PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

The HPA Department at the University of Pittsburgh is seeking
Masters-level graduate student assistants (GSAs). The duties of these GSAs
would be to help with teaching in the following areas:
-general physical education program
-faculty and staff health and fitness program
-student fitness or aquatics center
-research in a laboratory setting

Requirements for consideration for a GSA position:
-admitted to a Masters-level program with the HPA Department
-background in exercise science, athletic training, physical education,
nutrition, or related field
-at least a 3.0 GPA in their undergraduate training
-demonstrated experience in fitness, aerobics, aquatics, or
team/individual sports
-has the appropriate certifications


HPA MASTERS PROGRAM INFORMATION

For those who are interested in becoming admitted to this academic
program, the HPA Department offers a Master of Science Degree with a
research or clinical focus in one of the following areas:
-Health and Chronic Disease
-Health and Fitness

This Masters program 36 credits that can be completed in three academic
terms over a period of 12 to 15 months. The program is certified by the
American College of Sports Medicine.
