Internship and Employment Opportunities in Suffolk, VA

 
Internship Openings:  Please note that Internships with Suffolk Parks & Recreation are un-paid and do fall under the City’s Volunteer Management Program.  Interested students are encouraged to check with their Schools Career Management Center and Academic Advisors about federal work study grants or stipend program opportunities that may be available through the school.
·         Parks & Recreation 360 Internship Experience
o   This internship position is based out of the Business Services Division of Parks & Recreation but is customized to the students career goals and the needs of the City.  Experience may include time in Athletics, Special Events, Parks, Before and After School Care, Fitness etc.  This internship experience provides the student with the ability to work in various areas of Parks & Recreation to gain a well-rounded and complete internship experience. 
·         Graphic Design & Marketing Intern
o   This internship position is designed for students who want to gain specific experience in graphic design and marketing for a Municipal Parks & Recreation Department.  The intern will assist with various aspects of marking including flyer development, writing press releases, assisting with online marketing and social media promotions etc.
