Department of Health and Physical Activity
The Department of Health and Physical Activity at the University of Pittsburgh is seeking Masters level graduate assistants to assist with teaching in the general physical education program, faculty and staff health and fitness program, student fitness or aquatics center, and/or research in a laboratory setting. Graduate Assistantships are available to students with a background in exercise science, athletic training, physical education, nutrition or related field. 
 The Department of Health and Physical Activity offers a Master of Science Degree with a research or clinical focus in Health and Chronic Disease, Health and Fitness or Developmental Movement. 
The program is a 36 credit that can be completed in three academic terms over a period of 12 to 15 months. 
 
Applicants are considered for a Graduate Assistantship if they achieved at least a 3.0 GPA in their undergraduate training, and demonstrate experience in fitness, aerobic, aquatics, team and individual sports and have appropriate certifications. 
Prior to consideration for a Graduate Assistantship the applicant must have applied and been accepted into the HPA graduate degree program
