An Exercise Science Alum is working with this company:

The Atlas team is looking for a program manager to manage the delivery of highly energetic and motivational fitness curriculum to 6th - 8th grade students in DC middle schools supplementing PE activities during off-peak gym hours. The Atlas team includes some of the best fitness coaches and trainers in the Washington, D.C. area. Our central goal is to provide detail focused customized training experiences tailored to individual clients and group training needs.

Program manager
You will lead a team of fitness instructors to deliver fitness education to public school children throughout Washington, DC.


Responsibilities:
    Recruit instructors
    Oversee staff development
    Coordinate with the Justice Grants Administration of the District of Columbia Public Schools
    Work with school officials on issues of scheduling, program content, etc.
    Ensure quality and consistency by overseeing program implementation
    Administer student feedback surveys

Job Qualifications:
    Excellent communication and customer service skills
    Experience designing and implementing fitness regimens
    Ability to be part of a team and motivate others
    Current CPR and AED certification
    College degree in fitness related field with relevant work experience is preferred but not required
    Knowledge of safe exercise technique and group exercise principles
    Knowledge of basic physiology and body mechanics
    Positive and effective interpersonal communication skills

Job Title: Program manager
Full Time-Time / Part-Time: Part time, with opportunities for other Atlas Fitness roles
Compensation: Hourly with opportunities for performance bonuses
Employee Type: Hourly
