ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
·         Conduct new member assessments including full medical history, measurement of biometrics (height, weight, % fat, circumferences, heart rate, blood pressure), movement screening, and assessment of other special needs (diabetic, cardiovascular, pulmonary, etc.)
·         Develop appropriately individualized exercise programs based upon information gathered from the initial evaluation
·         Conduct proper walk-through for each member instructing them on how to properly carry out their exercise program
·         Conduct exercise programming and prescription in accordance with individual client needs
·         Design and carry out special group programs (Medical Member Groups); Provide additional assistance and guarding to those that are low function, fall risk or demonstrate compromised cognitive function
·         Assist with measuring member vitals (blood pressure, heart rate, O2 saturation)
·          Front desk administrative duties (answering phone, member data input, money reports, taking payments, etc.)
·         Attend staff meetings and be actively engaged in the ideas and discussion
·         Conduct small group training sessions for active adult membership
·         Observe/conduct sports performance programs (soccer, football, baseball, etc.)
·         Conduct personal training sessions
·         Work collaboratively with Physical Therapists to ensure appropriate exercise progression for members that require that level of service
·         Coordinate and/or provide educational lectures to members, patients or community
·         Plan, coordinate and/or attend events for members or community: competitions, expos, field days, etc.
·         Assist with maintaining cleanliness of gym equipment and turf area





QUALIFICATIONS
Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science/Physiology, Athletic Training or Kinesiology
ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist or NSCA Certified Strength & Conditioning Coach
CPR and First Aid Certified

Preferred: 2+ years of experience in exercise setting
FMS Certified Level 1 & 2

PREFERRED SKILLS
Must demonstrate the following qualities:
·         Self-starter, motivated, energetic, positive
·         High level of professionalism and integrity
·         Ability to interact confidently with staff, gym members and other individuals with a wide variety of fitness levels
·         Demonstrates little need for managerial supervision and tasking on a day-to-day basis
·         Demonstrates high level of competency with measuring baseline vitals (blood pressure, heart rate, O2, symptoms, etc.) with the understanding that he/she will be provided further training as needed
·         Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
·         Knowledge of HIPPA regulations – further training provided as necessary
·         Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint
·         Able to develop proficiency with web-based software programs: MindBody, SimpleSet, etc.
